Day numero tres in the “Blog Every Day in May” challenge asks us about the things that make us uncomfortable.
So without further ado I give you:
Kathleen’s List of Things that Make Her Uncomfortable
(This is actually a pretty acute picture of what I look like when I’m uncomfortate. Attractive, I know!)
-PDA. I realize that people want to show their feelings for each other. But that doesn’t mean you need to slobber all over each other in public. It’s gross.
-Pads. And yes I mean the kind women wear when its that time of the month. Tampons are God’s gift to women, pads are not.
-Watching movies with my parents when all of sudden there’s a detailed sex scene.
– Watching detailed sex scenes with anyone. I recently started watching Girls (which is phenomenal) and it has some pretty graphic sex scenes, it’s HBO so obviously. Point is I watch it by myself and have no problem. But I watched a few episodes with my friends Jordan and it was real uncomfortable.
-Driving in the rain.
-Walking through a dark parking lot alone at night.
-When a car is behind me and starts taking every turn I take. It makes me feel like they’re following me with wicked intentions.
-When co-workers argue in front of me.
-High heels (I’m going to work on this though, because I want to wear them!)
-The people who are showcased on shows like My Strange Addiction, Hoarders, Extreme Cheapskates, and My Crazy Obsession.
-Crickets
-Inappropriate messages on online dating sites. (I got my first one a few weeks ago on the dating site I joined, which you can read about here.)
-Last year on our cruise, we were hanging out in the cabin before dinner and I happened to be finishing up the 50 Shades of Grey series and my friend Kelly asked me to read some of it aloud so she could see what all the fuss was about. The writing so bad and the sex scenes so awkward it made my super uncomfortable.
-When I’m uncomfortable I laugh.
-People yelling at me at work over things that are beyond my control (or Disney’s control for that matter)
-Midnight premiers. I’ve known this one for a while now. But I still went to the midnight premier of Iron Man 3 last night (or early this morning as the case may be) and I was uncomfortable. Please talking too much, clapping, yelling at the screen. STOP IT! I wont go to another one.
Well there ya have it. That’s just a few of the items that make me uncomfortable. I’m sure there are more but I don’t want to reveal too much more, or y’all will think I’m a weirdo.
