It’s Ok Thursday

Yesterday was the busiest day at work I have EVER seen.Seriously there were so many people at Disney that 3 of the 4 parks CLOSED! As in they turned people away from the parks.I know! Shocking!
Epcot was disgustingly busy.Luckily I didn’t have to be in the craziness that was our Lobby. But I’m working this morning too.Hopefully it’s not AS crazy!
Now I haven’t done this link up in about 8 years so I decided to today!
Its Ok Thursdays
It’s Ok:
….to be excited for a new job but be extremely sad to leave the old one.
…..to be jealous that your brother got a trip to Vegas for Christmas and all you got was a few new clothes from Loft. (Even though I love Loft)
…..to be annoyed that only 2 of 4 roommates actually do the dishes/straightening up of the apartment.
….to love getting gift cards for Christmas but not love giving them.
…..to be sad you’re missing family Christmas/New Years for the first time EVER
….to love your own finger nails when they look like this:

I’ve worked hard to get these results.
I’m proud.
….to feel like half your day has been wasted when you sleep past 9 am.
….to love the cold weather that has finally graced the state of Florida with its presence the last two days.
(80 degree weather on Christmas day is just wrong.)
….to be working all 7 days this week and not be mad because it means more money in the bank!
….to look at prices for flights to various cities in Europe just because you live in a city that flies to those cities.
….to be excited for Project Runway Allstars
….to want Once Upon a Time to come back on TV again.
Oh and Modern Family too!
….to think the new Timeline on Facebook is weird and makes it even more stalker like.
….to be anxiously awaiting Awards Season!
The Golden Globes will start us off on January 15th!
SO EXCITED!!
….to sometimes wish your life was like a Romantic comedy.

New Years Eve is just days away.  I need to work on my resolutions.  Resolutions that I will make and not keep.  womp womp.
Happy Thursday!

Christmas and Oh How Pinteresting

So I planned out posted for this whole week, thinking that if I already had a topic I would write.Fail.I’m working an insane amount this week and just haven’t had the chance to sit down write them. But I have the morning off so here I am!
Quick update on life before we get to the good stuff.
Christmas 2011 was not as bad as I was expecting. The roommates and I got up, opened presents from each other and then made a yummy Christmas breakfast. We even sat at the table:
Yes those are thanksgiving napkins ( we didn’t have Christmas ones. Womp womp.)

And Cinderella waffles!
The whole morning was delightful.
What made it even better was I got to skype with my family back in Texas! So we all opened presents together!
Isn’t technology just great! 🙂
The day finished up with a great day at work! Where everyone was in the Christmas spirit! 🙂
Alrighty now on to everyones favorite link up with Michelle:

Presents! Presents! Presents!

Last night my roommates and I spent about 2 hours talking about our top 3 favorite Christmas presents we’ve EVER gotten.Tough questions huh!
Of course none of us could decide on just 3, but we had such a good time laughing and sharing stories.
So I figured I would share some of my favorites with y’all.
But I think I’ll settle on just 3.
1. One Christmas, when my brother and I, were about 8 and 9, we got a Jeep Power wheels that looked a lot like this:

I really wanted the hot pink Barbie one…but when you have a younger brother the parents gotta go with a unisex Jeep.
We drove that thing into the ground up and down out street!
And with the box it came in my best friend and I from down the street made a house! Complete with windows, curtains, flowers, a door.  All cut out and drawn onto the outside of the box of course.
But we had our very own house and car to drive.
2.  Another year I got a complete tea set/dress up set.   It was a white wicker table and chairs, with a pink ceramic tea set.  And on the chairs were two complete sets of dress up clothes. Complete with two dresses, matching sashes, hates, gloves…the works.  This was my 6 year old dream present.
(Actually it’s my 23 year old dream present too! But would include big girl clothes and this tea set:)
I’ve been dying for this set FOREVER!
3. This last one is a much more modern gift.  In fact it’s from last year:
My Nook.
I adore this thing.  It goes with me EVERYWHERE!
I got it for Christmas last year and have loved every minute of it.
Well those are some favorites from years past.
This year is going to be different.
I’m not at home for Christmas this year.
At all.
Not even for a little bit of it.
My parents had to send me a few presents in the mail and vise versa.
It’s gonna be awful strange not waking up in my own house on Christmas day.
Opening stockings and then presents with my family.
But I’m making the best of it!
The roommates and I all have the morning off so we’re gonna make a big Christmas breakfast, exchange gifts and then I’ll Skype with my parents and brother and we’ll have our own little Christmas.
Thank goodness for technology! 🙂
So here are a few things that would be on my Christmas list IF I were spending it at home:
(yes I found most all of this on Pinterest)
-Burberry London perfume
-a new Coach purse
-Giftcards (love getting them, and only give them as a last resort.)

-And clothes (which I’m pretty sure is what my mom sent me anyway!)
Actually, I never really know what I want for Christmas anymore. It’s really hard for me to say….”Yes I want this, and this, and that.”So I just give general stuff like…”Perfume, a new purse, clothes.” That kinda thing.
Anyhoo…I’m trying my hardest to make my very first EVER Christmas away from home full of the Christmas spirit and so far I’m succeeding.
What are some of y’alls all time favorite Christmas presents?

Back in the Swing of Things!

A couple of days ago I was about 2 seconds away from deleting my blog.Yep, two seconds.
There were several reasons but they all went out the window when I checked my e-mail and saw a message from Ashley@ Sunshine.Life.Love.
She gave me this:

How sweet is that!
It made me realize that :
1. I really do love blogging and meeting all you amazing girls.
2. Someone actually reads what I write.
3. I shouldn’t be blogging for anyone but myself.
4. Don’t compare your blog to others. (This is the hardest thing for me)

So I’m going to jump back into blogging with everything I’ve got.
Thank you Ashley for helping me remember just how much I love to blog!
I’m gonna start tomorrow fresh and ready with a new post!

Christmas is All Around

So I was sitting on my couch watching Law and Order: SVU last night when I realized that I haven’t shown y’all any of our Christmas decorations.(Yeah don’t ask why that show made me realize I hadn’t shown off my Christmas decor…I don’t know why either….weird).But all the other blogs I’ve read are doing it too! So, I’m jumping on the Christmas Decor bandwagon.
Last week I finally made it to Hobby Lobby, which was totally and completely picked over.  It was the final days of all of their Christmas decor being half off.
I had to dig and rummage through everything they had left to find some good stuff. And even then I didn’t find too much.I also had to buy all new ornaments because we don’t have any. We decided (more like I decided) to go with more traditional colors this year.Red and Gold to be exact.
So enough chit chat…I’ll let pictures do the rest of the talking.(PS. My camera is horrendous so please excuse the poor picture quality!)
Enjoy!

I’ve got mad bow making skills.
My madre taught me.
Thanks Madre.

Can’t have an apartment full of Disney Cast Members and NOT have a few Disney ornaments!

Why yes I made that wreath as well.

Santa Mickey

My mom sent me this stocking as an early Christmas present!

And she sent one for all the roommates too!
In the center of our dining room table.
Oh and the Sexiest Man Alive.
Yum.

Well that’s what we’ve got for now.
But more is coming!
Suzanne has been at home for the last weeks (by home I mean in Kansas)
And she sent me this picture the other day:
Can’t wait to see it all laid out.
Or more importantly all put up pretty in our apartment!
Have a Merry Friday lovelies!

Blogger Funk

I’ve been MIA the last couple days.No reason in particular save for I feel like I have nothing worthy to write.
It always happens Saturday to Tuesday.Because on Wednesday and Thursday…I have link ups to participate in.Meaning I don’t have to actually come up with anything original that I think y’all would want to read.womp womp.
How do all you bloggers out there with amazing blogs do it everyday?
I think I need to get out and get some blogger inspiration!
For today I think I’ll leave y’all with one of my favorite Christmas songs:

Till tomorrow. 🙂

Favorite Holiday Films

It’s December!! We can officially start saying Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
I actually had the cutest little girl tell me “Merry Christmas” the other night when I was working in the lobby. It just about melted my heart.
Alrighy so today is Day 4 of:
Fabulous Holiday Blog Challenge
Today I get to share my favorite holiday movies/tv specials.
Well here we go:
The Santa Clause is my all time favorite.  My brother and I watch this with my mom every year.Oh and if you’re interested it’s the first movie on tonight for ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas.

This isn’t just one of my favorite Christmas movies (which I watched last night as I decorated the apartment!) it’s one of my all time favorite movies in general.
Totally makes me which I were British.
This is a newer favorite of mine. But I felt I had to to include it because it is just amazing.
In fact the roommates and I watched this last night while we decorated out Christmas Tree.
I don’t even think I need to explain this one.

Ok on to TV Specials.Def one of my favorites is when TBS does 24 hours of A Christmas Story.I probably watch it at least 4 times on Christmas day.

Of course I can’t leave out the Disney’s Christmas Day Parade!
I make my family watch a little of this every year.
Want in on a little secret?
The “Christmas Day Parade” doesn’t happen live ON Christmas Day.
No sir.
They film it before Christmas, in fact they’re filming it tomorrow and Saturday.
Is your mind blown, cuz mine was when I found that out.
Last but not least are those traditional Christmas cartoons movies they play on ABC Family.
My favorite is “Santa Clause is Coming to Town” because it’s narrated by Fred Astaire.
Oh and Jack Frost is another favorite.
But I def don’t feel like it’s Christmas until I see those playing.
I just love the holidays.  I can’t believe they are already here.
Oh and it’s finally getting cold here in Florida.
Just what we need to really get into the Christmas spirit!
Merry Christmas starting today!
