Another Random Monday

Hello Hello!
Sorry this post is coming to you so late.
And I’m sorry it’s another totally random one.
Maybe I’ll just make every Monday: Random Monday!  That way I can just tell you about all the random things that have happened.
Ok sounds good!
Here we go:
1. Today I overslept.  This is something I NEVER do! I can count on one hand how many times I’ve overslept.  See I was supposed to be at work at 7:00am today.  I didn’t wake up until 7:47.  But I was at work by 8:30.  I felt awful and frazzled for the rest of the morning.  Luckily I have great managers and fellow cast members so it all worked out ok.
2.  I dunno if I’ve told y’all this but remember that audition I had couple weeks back that I thought I did terrible on?!  Well turns out I didn’t do so terrible because I got a call on Wednesday to have a 2nd PHONE INTERVIEW!!
I was shocked!
And I’m not just saying that!
So I had that interview today.
It took all of 10 minutes. They asked me 3 questions and that was it.
So hopefully I rocked it.
I think I did well so now it’s more waiting! 😉
3. Today I had lunch with 3 of my favorite people.  We went to Earl of Sandwich.  I just can’t get enough of that place. YUM!
4. I bought Michael Buble’s Christmas album today!
Go buy it!
It’s fantastic!
5. I feel like Halloween has already happened and it hasn’t.
I’m ready for it to be over.
Christmas please hurry it up!
6. My cousin is coming to Florida on Thursday with her fiancee! It will be the their first time at Disney! I am so excited to show them why I love this place so much!
7. I saw Paranormal Activity 3 on Friday night.
It was TERRIFYING!
But not gonna lie…pretty disappointing at the end.
Ok I think that is enough randomness for today.
I’m off to listen to my new Cd and pretend it’s December.
Till next time! 🙂

A Vintage Affair

So y’all know how I always say I was born in the wrong era?

Well Pinterest has only fed that belief because people pin clothes from different eras.

And I am OBSESSED with looking at them and swooning over EVERYTHING!

So on this very fine Friday I am going to share some of these AH-MAZING clothes that no one wears anymore, even though I totally think we should.

Don’t get me wrong.
I love that we can wear jeans and stuff.
But if I’m totally honest, I could care less if we never wore jeans again.

 🙂

For some reason, the other pins I have won’t embed.
But aren’t those dresses to die for.
Granted I’m sure they would be a total pain to get into and out of all the time.
But I would gladly sacrifice a little time to wear them.
Also here are some period films that you should def check out if you love clothes that look like the ones above:
1. Pride and Prejudice
2. Sense and Sensibility
3. The Young Victoria
4. Almost anything on Turner Classic Movies (one of my favorite channels!)
5. Shakespeare in Love
6. Marie Antoinette
7. Titanic

You get the picture! 🙂

Hope you all have a very vintage Friday! 🙂

No Good Very Bad Couple of Days.

Sorry friends. This is not going to be a happy post.
I’ve had a couple of terrible, awful, no good, very bad days.
Thursday, my car wouldn’t start.
Then miraculously it did and got us home.
Since then, it has tried it’s very hardest to start, but has only been successful once.
Why is it, that the minute I leave the state of Texas I have car problems.
And not just little ones, BIG ones.
Because now I don’t live within walking distance of my job.
Now my mom and dad aren’t just a few hours away.
I tried jump starting it, thinking (well my Dad thinking) it might be the battery.
Nope didn’t work.
Then, to add to my stress (or because of it) I wasn’t thinking when I bought some lunch at work and threw my debit card in the trash can.
I had to call my bank and get a new one.
Now I have to wait 5-7 days to for that new one.
Sure I could drive to said bank and get a temporary one.
But oh yeah, MY CAR WON’T START!
I’m sorry.
I know no one wants to read mopey and frustrated posts.
But right now, it’s all I’ve got.
At least until I find out how much it’s gonna cost to fix my car and then I’m just gonna cry.
Because I have a wedding to go to/be in and I really can’t afford to have car trouble right now.
So I am now taking donations for a new car. It doesn’t even have to be brand new! I just need one that won’t break down every month.
Blegh…I wish we had public transportation.

It’s the Great Pumpkin!

Good grief I can’t believe we are at another Friday in October.
Time is literally flying by y’all.
Before you know it, it’s gonna be 2012!
So y’all know I work for Disney.
And as I’ve said before when you work for Disney you don’t have normal weekends.
Like today is my Monday but it’s actually Friday. Lame.
Thus, Wednesday and Thursday are my weekends.
And boy did I have a good one this time!
Suzanne and I had the same two days off and so we told ourselves we were gonna have FUN and try to do things that didn’t involve Disney!
Trust me after a while you do get a tad sick of being there all the time.
On our first day off we did the following:
A. Went and ate Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney.
We both had the Holiday Sandwich:
There it is.  Turkey, Stuffing, Cranberry sauce, and Gravy between two pieces of bread.
I was VERY hesitant to try this thing.

And here’s a snapshot of me actually taking a bite.
Scary I know.
I hope this isn’t what I look like every time I eat something.

And this is how I felt after my first few bites!
It was DELICIOUS!
I want one right now.
So then we went and saw 50/50 which is an excellent movie and made me cry.
I dunno if it is because my monthly friend is visiting or what.
But I cried A LOT!
Go see it! It’s great.
Then we saw Dream House (yes we did a double feature, no I’m not ashamed)
Not impressed with this one.
Plus I left my Coach sunglasses in one of the theatres and they have yet to be retrieved.
Suzanne scolded (yes I said scolded) because I wasn’t very pleasant to the theatre workers when they wouldn’t go look and see if my glasses were in the theatres.
And in hindsight I was kinda a B.
I blame the monthly visitor again.
So then we walked around the Florida Mall a bit and then ate AGAIN.
Very successful day.
Yesterday was even more fun!
We went to a PUMPKIN PATCH!
A real honest to goodness pumpkin patch!
We got two big pumpkins, 3 gourds, 4 smallish pumpkins, and 6 little pumpkins!
Then we went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and to Hobby Lobby for more craft supplies.
Oh and my car wouldn’t start. FML. Then it did start. It was awful.
Then we came home and carved the pumpkins and painted the pumpkins.

This one is Suzanne’s.
Isn’t my roommate talented?
She didn’t even use an outline or anything!
This is totally freehand.

And then here’s my lamo-Jack-O-Lantern.
I can’t free hand to save my life.
But hey I like old-fashion, traditional things.
So it fits!

And here are our other projects of the night:

Well I hope y’all have as awesome of a weekend as I had! 🙂
So not fair, y’alls is just starting and mine is ending.
Make it a great one and do something Halloweeny! 🙂

Pinterest + Wednesday = A Great Day

Good Morning!
I hope y’all are doing wonderful on this beautiful Wednesday Morning.
I would be, if I didn’t have the worst pain EVER coming from the place where a baby grows.
Seriously this is the ONLY time I hate being a girl.
Any other time and I adore it, but that one week (that I know you all know what I’m talking about) is just the worst and I wish I didn’t have to go through it.
(Sorry is that was TMI!)
Luckily I have this:

google

to take my mind off it!
Here are my pins of the week:

Pinterest is one of the great things ever.
I’m just glad I didn’t discover it in college because I would have gotten NOTHING done.
Remeber this is the last day to enter my GIVAWAY! 🙂
Go do it!
I’ll be choosing a winner soon! 🙂
Have a great Wednesday!

Goin Courtin

Yesterday my roommate and I spent a lazy morning drinking coffee and watching this:
I love old movies. Especially old movie musicals.
And this is one of my all time favorites.
The movie is about 7 brothers who decide it’s time to get married.
Well one decides he needs a wife and then rest aren’t too far behind him.
Sorry I’m terrible at telling what a movie is about with giving away the whole plot.
Anyway, there is this one song in particular that I just love.
(I can’t find a video that I can embed on here, so click the link)
The song is called “Goin Courtin”
Milly (the main female lead) is teaching the brothers how to court a girl.
She talks about being sweet to a girl, setting the right scene to woo a girl, how to talk to a girl, how to dance with a girl, and how to respect a girl.
All while courting a girl.
What happened to that concept?
When guys didn’t just say “Wanna hang out?” as their way of saying I want to spend time with you.
When dancing didn’t involve grinding your pelvis’ together.
When just holding hands was a thrill.
Watching that scene and the one that follows (which involves and amazing dance scene and a barn raising):
Totally makes me which I lived in the 1890s.
I don’t care that life in wilderness probably was awful.
This movie makes it totally doable and picturesque.
Le sigh.
I totally want to be courted.
Oh and only 1 day left to enter my first givaway! Go enter! 🙂
