Tasty Tuesday: A Semi-Homemade Pasta Dish

A few weeks ago the roommate decided to cook all the food in our fridge that was about to go bad.  She made some lentils and ground beef with garlic, she made some chicken and she cooked up some sweet peppers and spicy italian sausage.

Later that week I decided to throw said sweet peppers and sausage into some spaghetti sauce and WA-LA, one of our new favorite meals was born.

And now I’m going to share it with you! 🙂

Ingredients:
Sweet Peppers (I bought a bag of small multi-colored bell peppers) Orange, Red, and Yellow.
Italian Sausage links (I don’t like mine too spicy so we went for mild)
Spaghetti Sauce (Prego- Fresh Mushroom is what I used)
Olive Oil
Salt
Pepper
Pasta of choice (I used linguini because that’s all we had)

One// Cut up your peppers.  We used small peppers but you can buy large ones too.

Two// Get your sauce pan ready and sauté the peppers.  Pour Olive Oil into the sauce pan.  Enough to completely cover the bottom of the pan.  (Jenny doesn’t really measure anything she just eye-balls it!)

Then dump all your peppers into the pan.

Three// Add salt and pepper to the top of the peppers. Again no exact measurements just sprinkle a good amount over the top.  With bother the salt and pepper.

Four// Sauté your peppers for about 20 minutes.

Five// Cook your sausage links in the same pan you cooked the peppers in.  Jenny split these so they would cook faster.  Eventually you’ll cut them into bite size pieces so it doesn’t matter what they look like when you cook them.

Jenny cooked the sausage and peppers on Sunday night and then last night I added them to the pasta sauce and cooked the pasta.

Six// Cook your pasta. (obviously, I didn’t think this needed a picture)  I used linguini but any type of pasta would work with this sauce.

Seven// Cut up your sausage into bite sized pieces.  Then add the peppers and sausage to your favorite spaghetti sauce.  I used Prego – Fresh Mushroom because it was on sale at Kroger.

Eight// Throw the pasta and sauce together and you have yourself a meal! You can serve it with a salad and some garlic bread and it will be even tastier. 🙂

It really is a very tasty meal!  Its super easy and quick and will feed 2-4 people.   We’ve made it twice now and Jenny has said that she would pay $15 for this same meal at a restaurant.

Once again cooking is done by Jenny and the photos are done by moi!

Enjoy friends!

To All Who Come To This Happy Place….Welcome!

This time last year, my friend Katie and I were on a week long Spring Break trip in California.   And Timehop (the best app ever. Seriously if you don’t have it…get it) keeps reminding me of the amazing time we had.
We started in LA/Anahiem.  Where we did the following: Stayed in the Lowes Hollywood Hotel, saw a movie in Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, took a celebrity homes tour, went on the Warner Brother’s Studio Tour (where we saw the real Central Perk from the Friends’ set!) and realized how awful LA traffic is.
We took one day to drive the Pacific Coast Highway from LA to San Francisco.  It was beautiful but awful at the same time.  Unless I am NOT doing the driving I will not doing that again.
We ended in San Francisco.  Where we went on a tour of the Disney Family Museum, saw the Google building, went on a double decker bus tour of all the major sites, saw lots of homeless people, had amazing crab at a restaurant in Fisherman’s Wharf, ate ice cream at the original Ghirardelli, went to the Golden Gate Bridge, saw lots of homeless people, ate at In & Out Burger, and wished we had known we should have booked a tour of Alcatraz in advance.
It was a pretty fantastic week.
Oh and obviously we went to DISNEYLAND!
I didn’t want to overload this post with a ton of pictures from the trip, because I took a ton.  But I can’t resist sharing my pictures from Disneyland.  I absolutely fell in love with Disneyland.  Mostly because you can actually feel Walt’s presences there.
Disneyland has a completely different feel then Disney World.  They are both equally magical but I don’t know there is just something about Disneyland that feels much more special.
So I give you the Disney side of our California Trip in pictures.
-Tour of the Disney Studios lot.  One of the perks of being a Cast Member is that if you work for any part of the Walt Disney Company, you have access to every part of the company. All you have to do is flash your ID to the guard at the gate and BOOM you’re in.
That was our first stop.

The Courtyard of the Studio has a collection of all the Disney Legend hands and Cecily Rigdon was the first person Walt chose to be a Guest Relations Cast Member.

This here is Katie!  She is one of the funniest, kindest, most entertaining friends I have.  I am so glad I got to go on this trip with her.  This is the most famous corner of the Disney lot.  We were simply giddy thinking of all the times Walt probably strolled past this corner.

One of my other bestest friends in the entire world actually works at Disneyland and she acted as our unofficial tour guide through the studios.  She took us into some of the original animation buildings and we showed us some of the sound stages where films like Mary Poppins were filmed.

We spent two full days at Disneyland.  We split both days between California Adventure and Disneyland.
First up is California Adventure.

Highlights: California Screamin, Cars Land, the Animation Building, Aladdin Live on Stage, Mickey’s Fun Wheel (pictures below) and the food!  The overall atmosphere is great at this park.  It’s very old California Hollywood.

This park also has an amazing water show called World of Color.  We were completely exhausted by show time but it was completely worth it.

Disneyland

We started our morning in Disneyland but taking the Walking in Walt’s Footsteps guided tour.  We got to hear some fun background stories of Walt and Disneyland (most of which I had heard before).  We were supposed to get a tour of Club 33 but it was closed for refurbishment so that was a bummer.  BUT we got the opportunity to see Walt’s Apartment above the fire station in Town Square.  It was probably the most magical thing I’ve ever done at Disney.

We watched Mickey’s Soundsational Parade and it was amazing.  So fun and upbeat. And the costuming and floats were perfect!

Here were a few of my favorite floats!

Katie and I decided to go all out and be super touristy and get our faces painted.  We were probably about 20 years older than all the other kids who were getting their faces painted. 🙂

And of course no Disney trip is complete without a Mickey Premium bar.

The trip was simply magical and I cannot wait for the day when I’ll be able to go back to Disneyland.
Now excuse me while I go daydream about being back there while my students take a test.
Have a magical day friends! 🙂

Tasty Tuesday: The Best Soup You Will Ever Eat

For my birthday my wonderful roommate, Jenny made me dinner.  We decided not go out to eat because it was a school night and I’m old lady and am usually exhausted by 5:30 pm and just want to stay home on my couch.
Jenny asked me what I wanted her to make in honor of the day and I immediately knew I wanted her to make Chicken Tortilla Soup or as Ina Garten calls it Mexican Chicken Soup.  You can find the original recipe by clicking here.  But I’m going to share with you Jenny’s recipe.  She follows it pretty closely save for the homemade tortilla strips.

Food is by Jenny’s magical hands.  Photography is by yours truly! 🙂

Ingredients:
2 whole chicken breasts
Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper
2 cups chopped onions
1 cup chopped celery
2 cups chopped carrots
2 1/2 quarts chicken stock
3 jalapeño peppers
4 large garlic cloves
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander seed
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
1 can whole tomatoes in puree

Now, Jenny decided to just use all the carrots in that bag and all the celery.  So our soup was very chunky.  But I like it that way.  If you don’t, then definitely stick to the amounts above.

One// Take your two chicken breasts and season with olive oil, salt and pepper.  Then toss them in the oven for 30-40 minutes.  The chicken is going to be absolutely delicious.  I promise.  It took all we had to not just eat the chicken before putting it in the soup.

Two// You’ll need a large pan like this one or something similar to cook the soup in.

Three// While the chicken is in the oven, you prep all your veggies.  Chop the celery,  peal and chop the carrots, and onion (forgot to snap a picture of the onion chopping).  These all get thrown into a mixing bowl.  Place to the side.

Four// Mince your 4 garlic cloves.  Then de-seed and chop your jalapeños.

Five// Next pour  about 3 tablespoons of olive oil into your soup put.  Add your mixing bowl of onions, carrots, and celery into your soup pot and start to sauté them.

Six// While those are sautéing take you can of whole tomatoes and “squish” them with your hands to make them chunkier pieces.  Then add the jalapeños, garlic, cumin,  and coriander to the mix.

Seven// By this time the chicken will be ready to go. Take it out of the oven and let it cool for a few minutes and get ready to shred it!

Eight// Pour your chicken stock into your soup pot with the veggies.  Pour your tomatoes mix into your soup after the chicken stock, followed by the more salt, pepper, and the chopped cilantro.

Nine// Take the cooled chicken and shred it into a mixing bowl.  (We just used the same bowl from the tomatoes and veggies.

Ten//  Throw your chicken in that pot and all that yumminess cook for about 20 or minutes.

Eleven// Serve and garnish with cheese and my personal favorite avocado.  I also threw some southwest tortilla strips that I use for salads in my bowl.  It was delightful!

Well there ya have it.  Total with prep and everything the soup takes about an hour .  Super easy prep though and the outcome is delicious.  We have a ton of left overs and so will you if you follow the recipe.

Enjoy friends! 🙂

PS. I’m am totally LOVING my new camera!  I’ve been practicing a ton and learning a ton.  Photography is so fun. Def found a new hobby! Happy Tuesday.

I was born!  🙂
That’s right friends:
I’m turning 27 today.  Which officially puts me in my “late twenties”.  Yikes.  I feel like I have accomplished so much and so little all at the same time.  Thankfully I am in a pretty good place right now.   And I think, I’m going to enjoy being 27.  Fingers crossed this is my best age yet! 🙂
Now, off to spend the first day of my 27th year educating America’s youth!
Happy Humpday! 🙂

What’s In My Bag?

A girl can never leave the house without 3 things:  her phone, mascara, and her purse.
Or well at least I can’t leave the house without those 3 things and I’m sure most ladies would agree with me.  I’ve always been a fan of reading “What’s in my Bag” posts and so I’ve decided to finally do one of my own!
That is the purse I’m currently using.  I love it!  Sadly, I do not actually own it.  Jenny is a super generous roommate and is graciously letting me borrow this gorgeous thing.  She’s carrying around her Longchamp purse, so this beauty is mine until she’s ready to have it back!
Gotta love Tory Burch!
Now on to the goods.
one// Car charger.  Not really sure why this is in here.  I don’t even think it works anymore.
two// Excedrin bottle filled with Advil.  I took all the Excedrin that was in there literally like 2 years ago and have been using the bottle to Ibuprofen and Advil ever since.  It is the perfect purse size bottle.
three// Lotion.  Gotta keep my hands silky smooth!
four// Headphones.  You know since I listen to soooo much music. (read: I never listen to music on my phone. Ever.)
five// Kate Spade wristlet.  I’ve been using this as my wallet since I bought it back in like September.  It is where I keep all my receipts, credit cards, debit cards, cash, etc.  You know all the stuff that proves I’m an actual grown up.  Blegh.
I love having this as my wallet because it is so convenient.  If I just need to run into the store right quick or am going somewhere I don;t want to take my full purse I can just grab this.  I can throw my phone in there and some lip gloss and be good to go!
six// Passport.  Ok so this is has been in my wallet/wristlet for like 5 months because I really really need to send it in to be renewed before my EuroTrip.  I literally needed to do this like yesterday.
seven// Picture of my grandparents.  They’re about 17 and 18 in this picture.  I’ve carried this around since my grandmother passed away in December. He was in the navy and she was his best girl.  Here is a closer look at the picture:
eight// Cute notebooks for writing to-do lists and blog ideas! 🙂
nine// iPhone! This needs no explanation. I mean hello..its my phone!

ten//  Cloths my mom put in my stocking to clean phone screen, iPad screen, and computer screen.  Basically screen cleaners.  They work wonders.
eleven// Allergy meds.  Because I have the worst allergies in the world and I never know when they are going to flare up.  It’s awful.
twelve// Lip gloss and lipstick.  These are my favorite shades and brands.  The gloss is Ulta and the lip stick is the Color Whisper line from Maybelline.  Shades include: Who Wore It Red-ER, Berry Ready, and Rose of Attraction.
thirteen// All inclusive girly emergency kits.  It has everything from nail polish remover to breath freshener mist spray stuff.  I keep in there for……well emergencies.  duh.

fourteen// My Erin Condren planner.  Thankfully the purse is big enough that this little baby can go with me pretty much anywhere.  It does weigh my purse down a little but that thing has my life in it.  So yeah.
fifteen// Sunnies. My eyes are blue and are therefore very sensitive to the sun.  Doesn’t help that I have the worst eyes in the world. These are Kate Spade sunnies that I got for a mega fantastic deal at the Kate Spade Outlet.  I only paid 30 bucks for those babies.  Thank you 50% off sale and 15% teacher discount!
sixteen// Car keys complete with my Disney princess keychain and Monkey in a tuxedo keychain.  I know. I’m so cool.
seventeen// EOS lip balm.  I am obsessed with this stuff.  I have one in pretty much every bag I carry with me, my car, and my bathroom.  It’s a problem but I love them.
There were also a few chocolate wrappers and gum wrappers in my purse but I decided to spare you seeing what a slob I can be sometimes.  But then again aren’t we all. 🙂
Well there ya have it.  Hope you’ve enjoyed this little sneak peak into my purse.  Most of this stuff gets transferred into my teacher bag during the week and back into my purse on weekends.  The reason being I going tired of carrying two bags to and from work.
So……what’s in your bag?

Weekending

Spring Break is over.  womp womp

Today it’s back to work.  So not interested in going back to work.  Now I have to wait till April 3 for my next 3 day weekend.  Which is only 3 weeks away so I guess that’s not too bad.

My weekend was pretty fantastic.  Which seems to be a pattern the last few weeks. And that is a’ok with me!

So what were the highlights?  I’m so glad you asked.  In no particular order:

– The Alamodraft House, which is a dine-in theatre, is hosting a free movies for teachers week in honor of Spring Break.  It’s two weeks long and so Jenny and I took advantage of that and saw not one, not two, but THREE movies this weekend.

We saw Cinderella (obviously) and it was absolutely magical.  I loved everything about it.  The costumes, the music, the sets, the actors (hello Rob Stark!) and of course the story.  We also saw Kingmen, which made me even more excited to go back to London.  And finally we saw Run All Night, an action Liam Neeson movie.

– Lots of snuggles with this little angel happened this weekend.  She was VERY happy to have things back to normal.

– Did some more practicing with my camera this weekend.  Jenny and I went to this swampy bayou area and I shot some pictures of her and Maggie.  And she took a few of me too!  You’ll be seeing my efforts later this week!

– I finally climbed out from under my rock and started watching the following shows via Netflix: House of Cards, Mad Men, and Orange is the New Black.

– Found a new favorite show that I am already obsessed with.  The Royals on E!  Loved every minute of the first episode and cannot wait till the next one.  I realized that Prince Liam is Peter Pevensie from The Chronicles of Narnia movies and that just made me want to watch the show even more! 🙂

– Had some delicious BBQ from Rudy’s on Saturday night.  Their peach cobbler is the best!

– I was messing around with my phone on Saturday, you know taking a ton of different selfies and being silly.  The sun had finally decided to show it pretty self and so I decided to take advantage of the light and I snapped this picture of myself:

Holy moly.  It doesn’t even look like me!  Mind you I did filter this little baby and edited it a tad but still.  But I’m a fan!  A big fan!

Well there ya have it.  Now to countdown the days till Friday.  4 more to go!  My birthday is Wednesday (hello 27!), so that should help make the week fly by! At least I hope so.

Have a great Monday!  Linking up with Biana!

EuroTrip 2015: Places I’m DYING To See!

I think one of the things I’m most excited about, when it comes to EuroTrip 2015, is getting to see all the famous icons in person.  All the icons that I’ve seen countless times in TV shows, movies, posters, other blogs, and travel books. I will get to see in person.  The thought literally makes me giggle like a little girl.

I.AM.SO.EXCITED

I have been pouring over pictures of all these amazing places and I’ve decided to share them on my little ol blog.

Lets break it down by country, shall we?

London, England

So I’ve already been to this glorious city (I should have been born there) so I already know where I want to go and what I want to see again.  But here’s the list:

-Parliament and Big Ben

-The London Eye

-Westminster Abbey

-Notting Hill/Portabello Road- Bedknobs and Broomsticks anyone? There is a grew musical number that is all about Portobello Road in that movie.  It’s one of my all time favorite Disney films.  My mom and I went there on my first trip to London and it was amazing.

-Tower of London

-Kensington Palace/The Orangery Tea Room – We’ve made plans to make a reservation before the trip.  Just to make sure we can actually get in.  I’ve been checking the website every month to make sure we get a reservation the day we want.  Fingers crossed that I stumble on Princess Kate while there and we become BFFs.

-Kings Cross Station – Simply to see Platform 9 3/4 obviously.  I actually would love to take the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour.  But sadly I do not think that will happen.  Oh well something for next time! 🙂

-Victoria and Albert Museum

-Harrods- This is one place I didn’t get to pop into on my first trip so that WILL be happening this trip.

Paris, France

-Eiffel Tower

-The Louvre

-The Love Lock Bridge

-Versailles – With how many times I’ve seen Man in the Iron Mask, this is is a MUST see.  I cannot wait to be strolling though this hallway.

-Notre Dame

Amsterdam, The Netherlands

-The Amsterdam sign

-Anne Frank House

-Tulips

-The Canals

Heidelberg, Germany
So we’re not going to any city in Germany that I know of.  We’re going to the Heidelberg region.  From what I’ve been told it’s absolutely gorgeous and there are castles that we’ll be seeing.  Here is what comes up when you Google Heidelberg region:

Yeah I’m ok with strolling along those streets and potentially visiting that castle!

Lucerne, Switzerland
Once again I’m not too familiar with Switzerland, especially Lucerne, but from what I understand it’s amazing.  I’m most excited to see Mount Pilatus and ride their epic gondola.

Italy: Verona, Venice, and Rome

-Juliet’s Balcony

-The Canal’s of Venice

-The Colosseum

-The Vatican – I’m not Catholic but I absolutely love the tradition and history behind the Catholic church so I am very excited to see The Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica on this trip.  Maybe we’ll get a glimpse of the Pope!

-The Pantheon

-Trevi Fountain

In just about every country I’m really excited to eat, obviously, who isn’t excited to taste the many delightful delicacies from 6 different countries.  And to just people watch.  See the locals going about their everyday lives.  Seeing life happen in a country that I’ve only ever read about.  And obviously the history nerd in me is ready to jump for joy at all the history I’m going to see first hand and in person!

I know I’ll be seeing a ton more amazing things.  But these are just a few of the highlights.  I cannot wait to share all our adventures here with all of you.  I also can’t wait to share all my own pictures. (Disclaimer: I found all these pictures via Google, none of them are my own nor am I claiming they are mine.)

So now I have to ask.  Have any of you seen any of these in person?  Were they as amazing as they look in pictures?

Spring Break Is Here!!!!

HAPPY MONDAY FRIENDS!!!!

Now you may be wondering why I’m shouting that at you. Well there is a very easy explantation for that……IT’S SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s right I do not have to work this week and I could not be more excited about it.  Just one of the perks of being a teacher.  I snapped this picture at the end of the school day on Friday because I was so excited.

So the weekend was amazing.  Houston decided to be cold and rainy all weekend so it was the perfect excuse to do my all time favorite thing.  Stay inside and do absolutely nothing.

Oh except one thing.

This happened this weekend………….

That’s right friends! Yours truly is now the owner of her very own Canon Rebel T5 DSLR camera!!!!!

You may remember it was on my wish list from this post.  Well, I started researching cameras, I took a poll on Facebook, and scoured Pinterest all Friday night and Saturday morning.  By around 1:00pm on Saturday I knew I wanted to invest in one and I figured why wait!

I want to be a photography pro by the time I head to Europe in July.  I want to take the most epic pictures in the world while I’m there because, honestly, I don’t know when I’ll be able to go back.  Plus, this will really help with my blogging.

Needless to say, once I got the camera I spent pretty much the entire weekend playing around with it. And I think it’s safe to say this is the best purchase I’ve made in a really long time! 🙂

Here is just a random sampling of what I shot this weekend.

Jenny made this Peanut Butter Cookie Lasagna on Saturday night and it was heavenly.  Especially if you love peanut butter.  Which I do. So it was delightful. You can find the actual recipe here.

This is Jenny!! Her friend Holly came over and we had a sleep over on Saturday night.  Holly did Jenny’s makeup and Jenny let me take about a 100 pictures of her while they were doing it.  She’s also gonna be my test subject while I get really good at my camera!

And of course our beautiful babies will be test subjects as well!  Sadie and Maggie are just precious and I’m really excited to get some good pictures of both of them for Jenny and I.  Jenny said we should put together coffee table books once we have enough of both of them.  I find that just a little strange but will probably end up doing it anyway.
I bought my camera at Best Buy and while I was there I splurged a little more and bought a 50mm lens along with 18-55mm lens that came with the camera itself.
Now I’m in the market for a camera bag.  Preferably one that can double as a purse when the occasion calls for it AND that can serve as my carry on bag when I travel (ie. When I go to Europe!).  And I have my eye on this one:

But for all you camera savvy bloggers out there if you have a favorite bag that you just love…send it my way! I’m in the market! 🙂
The weekend ended with the arrival of my parental units.  They’ll be here the rest of the week and I’m super excited to spend some quality time with them.
I will be blogging this week, so stay tuned for some fun posts this week.  At least I think they’re fun! 🙂
Have a great Monday friends!

Currently Wishing For

Everyone has a wish list.  A list of things that they wish for.  I personally have only ever vocalized my wish list, I’ve been one to write it down or create and Amazon wish list or anything like that.  But I figured that since it’s my birthday month I would put out into the universe some of the things that I’ve been wishing for.
Now obviously some of these things are unrealistic for the time being.  I am paying for a trip to Europe here people.  Gotta save as many pennies as I can.
So this is a long term, when I can afford it list and a short term, what I wouldn’t mind having for my birthday list. 🙂

iMac Computer// This is the perfect example of an item on my long term list.  I’ve been wanting a desk top computer for a while now.  And since I’m obsessed with my MacBook and all my other apple products I wanna go with the iMac.  I feel like it would make blogging and school work easier to complete.
Shop Ruche// I have been eyeing this website for like 3 years and have never purchased anything. Why? No clue.  I constantly use their calendars as my wall paper on my phone, iPad, and MacBook.  And I ‘m constantly browsing through their amazing clothes.  So I think it’s about time I buy something.
New Perfume// Now when I say new, I just mean my favorite perfume.  That would be Burberry London.  It’s been my fragrance of choice for the last…..8 years?  I’ve been out for quite some time now and would love some more!
Bedroom prints// The walls in my bedroom are still incomplete.  I’ve loved this print- Be Happy. Be Bright. Be You. for a while now and I even found it once in a shop out in Tampa, Florida.  I really want to find a bunch of cute prints for a gallery wall for my bedroom.  So if you have any favorite Etsy shops that sell cute prints like the one above.  Send em my way please! 🙂
Kendra Scott earrings// Love these classic Kendra Scott earrings.  I need a pair. I’m usually a stud kinda girl but these are gorgeous and again I need them in my jewel box.  These Elsie Studs in Rose Quartz are also to die for.
Longchamp Bag// I need a new purse and these are perfect.  My roommate and a few other friends have one and they love them.  Plus I think this would be a great carry on purse for my EuroTrip! 🙂
Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette// So I know this is probably super old news of many of you.  But I still adore the Naked 2 eyeshadow palette from Urban Decay.  These colors are exactly the colors I use on a daily basis.
Canon DSLR// Yet another long term wish list item.  I would honestly be happy with the Canon that is right below the DSLR, it’s a fancier version of the canon point and shoot (and I have no idea what it’s actually called).  But this would be useful for blogging and would allow me to take fantastic pictures in Europe this summer.

If only money grew on trees, then these wouldn’t have to be “wishes” I could just buy them! hehe.
What’s on your wish list?!

Pin-spiration: EuroTrip 2015

Euro Trip 2015 is almost here.  Well when I say almost here I mean its now 135 days away.

But in case you missed the memo I’m heading for a fabulous 16 trip to Europe!  We’ll be visiting England, France, The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and finally Italy.  It’s going to be a whirlwind trip but will be an amazing trip. (You can read more about it here!)

What has not been fun is paying for the trip. My bank account has been hurting the last couple months.  Thankfully I will have the whole thing paid for by May 8th.  So then it’ll just be about saving for spending money…you know the fun stuff.

Now since we decided we were going on this amazing trip I obviously immediately went to Pinterest and started pinning a ton.  I’ve stumbled on some fantastic blogs and websites that have a ton of great tips for traveling to Europe.

And now I’m going to share what I’ve found with all of you.

Here are some of the pins I’ve pinned to my “Across the Pond 2015” Board.  (can I just say it’s a pain in the ass to embed pins from Pinterest now).  They’ve been super helpful in planning this trip and I will I def be coming back to them many times in the next 135 days!

This website has some great tips for using your IPhone abroad. It covers how you can use your phone without an international card via the WiFi and how to go about getting an international card if you need one. What’s great it is seems like you don’t need an international card at all and most places in Europe will have some type of free WiFi.

Some of the things on here don’t apply to me but several of them do. This site gives some good tips on how to save money while your actually IN Europe.

This is the part I’m definitely NOT looking forward too.

Here we have a few more helpful reminders. They recommend things like: calling your bank and letting them know you’ll be overseas, paying your bills in advance if you know your gonna be gone when they’re due, and tell you about a neat app called VIBER which I will be forcing my mother and close to download in July!

Everything you need for in your carry on for an international flight. She has some great tips too! Love this travel blog!

These have been my favorite pins to look for. PACKING TIPS!! I am stressing over what I should and shouldn’t bring with me clothes wise for this trip. I want to look cute but I want to be comfortable too. Such a dilemma. Here’s another blog I found that has some really good advice as far as what to wear in Europe.

I’m sure I’ll find a ton more pins in the coming months.  This is going to be a trip of a life time and I cannot wait to share it with all of you when I get back.  Oh and I’m dying to know…..where all have y’all traveled to “Across the Pond?”  And if you have any travel tips and tricks for going overseas, send em my way! Happy Tuesday! 🙂
